The Consumer Technology Association added some digital industry flavour to the lineup of the next CES event in the form of a keynote by Siemens president and CEO Roland Busch (pictured).
Busch is due to discuss how AI, digital twins and automation technologies are being used to deliver real-world advances in fields spanning manufacturing, infrastructure and transportation at CES 2026, scheduled to take place in the US city of Las Vegas in January 2026.
Siemens’ CEO said the world is transitioning to one which “makes full use” of AI in “factories, buildings, grids and transportation”.
The company intends to showcase its AI technologies along with the broader marketplace and partnerships it stated are driving the transformation of key industries.
Busch said Siemens brings “intelligence to every machine, every device and every piece of infrastructure”.
“We have the data, the domain know-how, and the trust of our customers and partners with whom we are scaling industrial AI”.
CTA vice chair Gary Shapiro explained AI is now an important field, driving global transformation.
“AI and digital twins will revolutionise industrial environments, streamlining design, planning, engineering, operations and maintenance”.
