Gavan Ord, CPA Australia\u2019s Business Investment Lead, says that AI is reshaping business models and potentially lowering barriers to entry, making this an opportune moment for young people to start a business.<\/span><\/p>\n\u201cEncouraging more young Australians into business ownership isn\u2019t just good for them, it\u2019s vital for the economy,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n\u201cAI gives young entrepreneurs the ability to innovate and scale quickly, which will help revitalise Australia\u2019s small business sector and strengthen our long-term economic vitality.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\nCPA has emphasised that policymakers should support entrepreneurship as a career path and provide young business owners with additional aid, such as digital access and capability training.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nWhile Ord acknowledges the need for further government support, he urges young Australians not to delay their entrepreneurial aspirations.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\u201cEmbracing AI will be key to boosting productivity and economic growth. Young Aussies should be proactive, leveraging AI, professional advisers and mentors to follow their entrepreneurial and creative instinct.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nAccording to Ord, the capabilities of AI enable small businesses to automate processes, analyse data, and can provide young business owners with a competitive advantage.<\/span><\/p>\n\u201cFor young Australians with ambition, AI provides the tools to help them compete locally, nationally, and on a global stage.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\u201cRather than viewing AI solely through the lens of misuse and workforce anxiety\u201d, Ord encourages a shift in perspective, saying \u201cwe should recognise it as a launchpad for young entrepreneurs,\u201d he said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nOrd\u2019s statements reflect a wider discussion of how technology can be harnessed to create new opportunities and drive economic resilience.<\/span><\/p>\n\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
